Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Iași, partner within the Empowering community care through digital health – DigiCare Innovation project, announces the launch of the DigiCare Incubator Program 2025, an intensive initiative dedicated to European start-ups in the field of Medical Technology, designed to transform innovative ideas into validated, investment-ready solutions. DigiCare Incubator Program 2025 offers participants a hybrid experience (online + on-site), combining specialized mentoring, access to laboratories and testing infrastructure, as well as real validation opportunities in the fields of oncology, mental health, and primary care.

The DigiCare Innovation initiative aims to build a European health ecosystem that empowers communities, enhances primary and community care, and strengthens universities’ capacity to drive innovation.

The DigiCare Innovation project brings together a consortium of prestigious institutions from across Europe: Hochschule Bielefeld – University of Applied Sciences and Arts (Germany) – Project Coordinator, FHS Salzburg (Austria), Egas Moniz – Cooperativa de Ensino Superior (Portugal), CESPU – Cooperativa de Ensino Superior Politécnico e Universitário (Portugal), Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (Spain), Klaipėda State University (Lithuania), and “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Iași (Romania), offering start-ups access to high-level laboratories, mentoring networks, and prototyping infrastructure.
The program is led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ionuț Nistor, Coordinator of the MAVIS Innovation and Technology Transfer Center at UMF Iași, bringing together experts from across Europe to guide start-ups toward success.
DigiCare Innovation – A Transformative Ecosystem for Health
